The most popular annual South West Country One-Day Show recorded fantastic results again on 30th July 2005 enabling a total of £3500 to be presented to local charities. These include the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, the South West childrens Hospice, Glastonbury & Street Boys and Girls Brigade, Somerset Air Cadets, Huish Episcopi Satelite Group, Merriott Youth Footbal Club and All Saints Church Kingsweston.
Representitives from each of these organisations recieved cheques from Somerton Horse Show at the Presentation Evening.
The main recipient is the Air Ambulance with a donation of £1400 and the Childrens Hospice recieved £500.
£35,000 has already been given to charities over the years with £3000 donated in both 2003 and 2004. Eight rings on the day ensuring nearly 1500 entries derived complete satisfaction and pleasure as well as the magnificent weather for the event this year.
Somerton Horse Show is still the envy of the West Country circut for managing to present such a magnificent show with over 150 helpers, between 50 to 70 classes each year and recording a 61 year history since it began.
